Will the image quality drop?
Only if you tell it to. Compression and WebP conversion let you set the quality level explicitly. The Resize tool is lossless beyond the dimension change. The Background Remover is the only operation that necessarily alters pixels — and it's fully reversible by re-uploading the original.
Can I hit a specific KB target like 50 KB or 200 KB?
Yes. The Image Compressor accepts a target size and the tool iterates the quality level until the output lands within range. This is exactly how to prep photos for Aadhaar, passport, UPSC, SSC, banking, and other Indian government portals with hard size caps.
Does background removal upload the photo?
No. The Background Remover ships an on-device AI model that runs in your browser via WebAssembly. The first run downloads the model (~30 MB), which is then cached for instant subsequent removals. Your photo never leaves your machine.
Which formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF (still frame), and SVG (for vector → raster conversion). Output formats vary by tool: most produce PNG or JPEG, with WebP and SVG as additional options where they make sense.
