Favicon from Text

No logo yet? Mock up a single-letter or emoji icon in any image editor (or even in a slide / Figma frame), export it as a square PNG, then drop it here to generate all six standard favicon sizes. Source 512x512 with high-contrast background works best - the same image becomes your 16, 32, 48, 180, 192, and 512 px PNGs plus the matching HTML <link> tags.

When to use this

Use when: launching a new project that doesn't have a logo yet, building a quick MVP / landing page that needs a unique favicon, creating favicons for internal tools / dashboards where a letter is fine, prototyping favicon options before commissioning a real logo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this generator accept a letter or emoji directly?

Not yet - currently the tool is image-only. The fastest workaround: type your letter or emoji on a coloured square in Figma / Canva / Keynote, export as a 512x512 PNG, then drop it here. Native text-and-emoji input is on the roadmap.

Will my favicon look the same on dark and light browser themes?

Yes - the favicon is a single image regardless of browser theme. To support both themes properly, your background colour should look acceptable on both light tabs (white background) and dark tabs (gray/black background). High-contrast colours work best.
