An EPIC number (three letters followed by seven digits, like ABC1234567) is enough for someone to look up your electoral roll entry - name, age, constituency, and your father's or husband's name. When a landlord, gym, or courier desk asks for a Voter ID copy as address proof, they need the photo and address, not the EPIC. Drag a box over the number and export a flattened copy.
When to use this
Use when: submitting Voter ID as address proof to a landlord or housing society, sharing it with a courier or delivery agent for KYC, uploading it to a private job portal, attaching it to a school or hospital admission form.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an official masking format for Voter ID?
No. Unlike Aadhaar - where UIDAI explicitly publishes a masked format showing only the last four digits - the Election Commission has never defined one for EPIC numbers. The common practice is to cover everything except the last four characters, which is what we'd suggest, but it's a convention rather than a rule.
Should I mask the address too?
Depends who's asking. If the recipient wants the Voter ID as address proof, the address is the whole point - leave it. If they only need identity confirmation, mask the address block as well; the tool lets you draw as many rectangles as you want on one image.
