Frequently Asked Questions
Is redaction reversible by the recipient?
No. Our tool applies a flat black rectangle that becomes part of the image pixels - it can't be 'peeled off' the way Acrobat's annotation layer can. The output is a flattened PNG / PDF where the redacted region is genuinely opaque.
What about EXIF metadata - does it leak the original?
We strip EXIF metadata from the output. So the recipient can't recover the original via the exported image's metadata. The original file stays on your device only; it's never uploaded.
