Can I add text to a PDF for free?
Yes. Drop a PDF, switch to Add Text mode, click anywhere on the page, and type. Pick from black/red/blue text in small/medium/large sizes. Hit Save when done — the annotations are baked into the downloaded file.
How do I highlight text in a PDF?
Switch to Highlight mode, then click and drag across the area you want to highlight. Pick from 4 highlight colours (yellow, green, blue, pink) and the highlight is applied with translucent colour, so the underlying text stays readable.
Can I draw on a PDF freehand?
Yes. Switch to Draw mode, pick a pen colour and thickness (Thin to Extra Thick), and draw freehand on the page. Useful for marking up diagrams, signing roughly, or adding handwritten notes.
Are my edits permanent?
Yes. Once you click Save, annotations are flattened into the PDF using pdf-lib. They become part of the file's content stream and are visible in any PDF reader (Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, mobile).
Can I undo a change?
Yes — full undo and redo. Every text addition, highlight, drawing stroke, and page rotation is tracked, so you can step backwards or forwards through your edit history before saving.

What's the maximum file size?
100 MB per PDF. The cap exists because everything runs in your browser — much bigger files can stress your device's memory. If your PDF is larger, try splitting it first and editing the parts you need.
Will the editor work on a phone?
Yes. The toolbar and canvas are responsive, and the touch-screen tap drops a text annotation just like a mouse click. Drag-to-highlight and freehand draw also work with touch input.
