Merge PDF with Page Numbers

Combining multiple PDFs into one often makes individual page numbers from each source confusing. Our merger optionally adds new, continuous page numbers to the merged output - Page 1 of N format across the entire combined document. Custom position (top / bottom / corner) and font.

When to use this

Use for: legal briefs where all pages must be sequentially numbered, academic theses where you've combined chapters into one PDF, business reports where consistent page numbering across sections matters, contracts and addenda combined into one numbered document.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the original page numbers in the source PDFs be removed?

No - source page numbers stay (they're baked into the PDFs). Our added numbers are overlaid on top. If you want a single clean numbering, run each source through 'Add Page Numbers to PDF' first to remove existing numbers, then merge.
