Most image compressors slash quality to hit a size target. Ours detects each image's content type (photo vs graphic vs screenshot) and picks the highest quality that still produces a meaningfully smaller file. The result: noticeably smaller files that look identical to the originals at normal viewing size.
When to use this
Use when: file size matters but quality is non-negotiable - portfolio photos, product listings, hero images, professional headshots, gallery uploads, and anywhere the image is the focal point.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this truly lossless?
Not in the strict file-format sense - we use JPEG/WebP at a high quality setting (typically 85-95) which is visually lossless for photos but technically lossy. For true lossless, convert to PNG (no quality loss, larger file).
How much smaller will my image be?
Typically 30-60% smaller for photos, less for already-optimized images. Screenshots and graphics see less reduction since they're often already compact.
